Michael MunroMichael Munro was born in Glasgow in 1954. He has been writing poems for over thirty years but the HappenStance chapbook Poems for Alice was his first collection. He makes a living as a freelance lexicographer and has published various books about aspects of language, from The Patter (a lexicon of Glasgow dialect; 1985) to Clichés and How to Avoid Them (Chambers, 2005). His favourite poets are Keats and Apollinaire.
