Ross KightlyRoss Kightly is Australian, though since 1972 he has lived most of his life in England. He has always been a teacher, though his disciplines have been many and various: English, Geography, General Studies, Drama, Religious Studies, Politics, Sociology and Italian. The downside of an attack of viral encephalities in 2007 was forced retirement. The upside was more time for poetry.

Widely published in little magazines since the early 1990s, Kightly has been a prize winner or had poems commended in a number of competitions. He writes in widely varied styles and forms, and particularly enjoys the flourish of a robust dramatic monologue.

He reviews for Sphinx and has also proof-read the last two chapters of The HappenStance Story.
