Laurna Robertson was born in Shetland. Its seascape still informs her work, as does the landscape of the Scottish Borders where she has settled after teaching in Fife, Edinburgh and the Borders.
She was selected by CABN and the Scottish Poetry Library as one of five poets presenting the Abbotsford Poets Showcase in November 2013 and read again in Sir Walter Scott's library with Scott's Treasures in November 2014.
Her most recent HappenStance pamphlet, Praise Song, celebrates her Shetland ancestry.
