Peter Gilmour writes both verse and short stories, although for some years he stopped writing poems completely. The event that brought him back to poetry was his wife’s suicide two decades ago.
It comes as no surprise to find much of his writing reflects on life and death – the way one spills into the other, sometimes bringing darkness and sometimes light. He lives in Glasgow with his partner, Lil, and one of his two sons.
More recently, he became a grandfather, to Holly and Rory.
